Oliveira Souza Advogados announces José Silvino Filho as the new member of the firm, who will serve as a consultant in Agricultural Legislation.

An expert in Administrative/Regulatory Law and Agricultural Legislations, as well as Public Administration, José Silvino Filho has been a civil servant at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply for over 40 years. He began his public career as a Federal Inspector in 1975 and retired as a Federal Attorney and Legal Consultant for the Ministry of Agriculture after decades of recognized contributions to the National Agriculture.

He served as the Legal Consultant for the Ministry of Agriculture from 1999 to 2015. He was also the Institutional-Legal Coordinator of the Master Plan for the Reform of the National Agricultural Defense Policy from 1996 to 1998.

From 1998 to 2015, he was a member of the Brazilian Delegations representing the Brazilian Government (Ministry of Agriculture) in international forums related to agriculture, such as the World Trade Organization (WTO), Mercosur, FAO, Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, Southern Cone Plant Health Council (COSAVE), Southern Cone Council of Agriculture Ministers (CAS), and Southern Cone Permanent Veterinary Council (CVP).
